Jeremy Rose: Everybody around me knew what was going on and thought it was bullshit.

Norm MacDonald: You get so immersed in it that nothing appeals to you.

Rose: That’s why I backed out.

MacDonald: People can become really dangerous.

Rose: Lots of drug use. Teen moms. Stuff like that.

MacDonald: Hopefully, you know? Yeah.

Rose: So I was pretty quiet about it.

MacDonald: But I’m trying to figure out a way around that.

Rose: And I was just like, “Aw, fuck that shit. No, man, let’s talk about, fucking and getting too high and trying to fuck bitches and it not working out. Let’s get really grimy about it."

MacDonald: Nobody’s ever done that. I don’t think that’s a very good thing to do with your life.

Rose: Then The New York Times article and everything else started blowing up.

MacDonald: I feel like I got fired for doing that.

Rose: We were partying a lot. But whatever, that’s that.

MacDonald: And I thought that was the perfect thing. Like it’s a cardboard moon or some shit.

Rose: I had that thing for a couple years and I didn’t know what to do with it. I didn’t really fit in, so that’s why I got out.

MacDonald: You’re not talking to anyone.
