What Year Is It (#122)?

Clues after the jump.

Screen shot 2014 07 25 at 10.30.57 am.png?ixlib=rails 2.1

Clues:

The first air-conditioned office opens in San Antonio; Leon Trotsky arrested in Moscow; the age of voting for UK women goes from 30 to 21; Yankees sweep Cards in World Series; Al Smith takes Democratic presidential nomination; Charles Lindbergh is awarded Medal of Honor for transatlantic flight; and Ty Cobb steals home for the 50th and final time.

Discussion
  • Maybe Lindbergh flew in 1921, so maybe medal in 1922. On the other hand the 1927 Yankees were maximally dominant. Russian Revolution was 1917, so maybe Trotsky lasted until 1922 - or 1927. I was just telling someone that Mr. Carrier's invention or at least development of air conditioning allowed full population of the South. On the other hand, who wants to stay indoors all summer? In answer to your question, I don't know, but it was fun to speculate.
